Street Room – Green
The Street Room Green is an urban artifact conceived as a ribbon – like structure that by bending gently, mimics the profile of two “house shapes” intercepting each other, hosting seating, shading and greenery functions among others.
The main structure acts as a shading element sheltering not only from the sunlight but also from the rain. On the other hand, its eye-catching shape, colors and patterns attracts users becoming an urban attractor for kids and adults alike.
Additionally, it presents itself very accessible for all pedestrians, offering several features that resemble a living room but outdoors, such as lighting lamp, tree pot, a clock, bike parking, charging spots and stools scattered around creating different configurations for a diverse social interaction.
Also, on the one extreme, the ribbon bends in such a way generating a mini grandstand of four levels that allow users to experience the public realm in an unusual way.
This project is designed to be in the public space as a new typology of urban object, enhancing the quality of the public realm experience, fostering interactions among. It is perfectly suitable for pedestrian streets and commercial areas where it will act as an urban attractor increasing the flow of people ensuring the success of the commercial scheme.
The main inner structure is stainless steel frames and the finishing material is made with stainless steel sheets with a layer of fluorocarbon paint. Also, all the horizontal surfaces and seating features are done with wood.
Some of the features and equipment on top are done with fiberglass.
The maximum height of this equipment is 6140 mm.
The colors, play features and details of this project can be customized depending on the needs of the client and conditions of the site. The modifications will be done upon request.
