Street Room – Blue
Inspired in the classic house shape, the Street Room Blue is conceived as a ribbon – like structure that by bending gently, creates the “house” shape as urban shelter which provides with shading and ground platforms for socializing.
It presents itself very accessible for all pedestrians while offering shelter for sunlight and rain. It contains several features that resemble a living room but outdoors, such as the public clock, a lighting lamp, charging spots, tree pot and different seating arrangements as platforms for social interactions.
This project is designed to be in the public space as a new typology of urban artifact, enhancing the quality of the public realm experience, fostering interactions among users. It is perfectly suitable for pedestrian streets and commercial areas where it would act as urban attractor, increasing the flow of people and ensuring the success of the commercial scheme.
The main inner structure is stainless steel frames and the finishing material is made with stainless steel sheets with a layer of fluorocarbon paint. Also, all the horizontal surfaces and seating features are done with wooden planks.
Some of the features and equipment on top are done with fiberglass. The maximum height of this equipment is 5000 mm.
The colors, play features and details of this project can be customized depending on the needs of the client and conditions of the site. The modifications will be done upon request.
