Play Pipepark
The Play Pipepark is an urban artifact made with an elevated pipe forming a circle in plan view, from which all the play and sport elements hang, creating an enclosed space of 213 square meters designed to allow recreation in all kind of urban environments.
This playground offers a range of challenging activities crafted to stimulate motoric and cognitive skills in children. Beneath the pipe different challenges await, encouraging kids to engage their bodies and minds through play.
The Play Pipepark caters to various age groups, offering play features to suit their interests and abilities. Young “Explorers” (ages 3-6) delight in activities such as slides, xylophones, and swings. As they grow, “Kings of the World” (ages 6-10) encounter challenges like slides, climbing structures and interactive games like tic-tac-toe. For older adventurers, “Cool Guys” (ages 10-14) find excitement in slow swings, pass-through bridges and climbing structures. The main two activities, a football goal net and a basketball court, are located on both opposite site of the area to encourage the kids to practice physical activities. At the heart of the park, a floor board game and a giant dice provide instructions for utilizing all activities in a playful and challenging manner.
Crafted with a stainless steel circular profile, the pipe has a diameter of 220mm and stands at a maximum height of 3.5 meters. A Flex LED light illuminates the contour of the circular pipe, making the structure remarkable at night. Additionally, the floor is covered with EPDM to absorb impact.
The Play Pipepark’s color schemes, features, and details can be customized to accommodate individual preferences and site requirements.
The Play Pipepark is designed to fit into any public space, including parks, squares, educational areas, residential compounds, and commercial streets. The design of the Play Pipepark is not just about creating a versatile space for entertainment; it’s also about recognizing the importance of providing ample opportunities for kids to engage in “playful learning.” Drawing insights from neuroscience, the Play Pipe Park actively promotes cognitive development, stress relief, and social interaction. Providing a public space where individuals can connect, socialize and play is important for fostering a sense of community. The Pipepark serves as dynamic point to have fun and learn through recreational activities.
